KYC PROCESS
Know Your Customer policies have become widely important lately, especially among banks and other financial institutions, to prevent identity theft, money laundering, financial fraud and terrorist activity. Bernardex holds a zero-tolerance fraud policy and is taking all possible measures to prevent it. Any fraudulent activity will be recorded and all associated accounts will be immediately shut. All funds in these accounts will be lost.
Prevention
Bernardex aims to secure the integrity of any sensitive data it obtains, such as your account information and the transactions you make, employing a variety of security initiatives and fraud controls. Protecting your electronic transactions requires us to be supplied with certain data from you, including your selected deposit method. When depositing funds, the following documents are required:
– A copy of your valid passport, with the page that shows your picture as well as your signature, if any. In case you don’t have a passport, a valid government issued ID or driving license with your photograph included is needed. When providing us with your ID or driving license, we’ll need colour images of the front and back. – A copy of the debit or credit cards you’ve used to invest into your account is also required for KYC reasons, with a coloured photo of the front side of the card with the first 6 and last 4 numbers, as seen in the image. The middle numbers may be covered, but we’ll have to see the backside of the card which has your signature. Please make sure to cover the C.V.V. numbers when sending us this. – To finalise the KYC process and to approve your Bernardex account, we’re going to need your Proof of Residence. Proving your address is simple as all we need is a utility bill, local authority tax bill, or a bank statement which has the same name as your passport or your ID, or driving license. The date issued on the proof of address shouldn’t be older than 3 months. Send your proof of residence (in colour) to [email protected].
When do I need to provide these documents?
We highly value the time you take to provide us with all the necessary documents as soon as you can, in order to avoid any delays in processing your transactions. We require the receipt of all the essential documents before making any cash transactions to your benefit. Some circumstances may require us to request these documents before allowing any other activities in your account, such as deposits or trades. Please note that if we do not receive the required documents, your pending withdrawals will be cancelled and credited back to your trading account. We will notify you in such an event via our system.

How do I know my documents are safe with you?
Bernardex holds the security of documentation with the highest priority and treats all documents it receives with utmost respect and confidentiality. All files we obtain are fully protected using the highest levels of encryption at every step of the review process.
Are there any fees that will be applied if KYC is not provided?
We take the verification of our clients’ accounts very seriously, and this is a procedure all our clients have to undergo in order to safely and accurately process any type of funds back to them. If a client does not wish to undergo the process, it is considered a misuse of the account and our services. A weekly fee of 5% will be charged if the given time frames shown below are not respected: Documents after first deposit: 5 business days time limit to submit. Declaration of Deposit (DOD) after every additional deposit: 3 business days. We thank you for your cooperation in helping us make Bernardex a safer place to trade.
